Honda CB400 4 1978 T in Lincoln, Lincolnshire for sale

Honda CB400 4 1978 T This bike has done a total of 100 miles in the last 5 years. It has been the subject of a complete rebuild by the previous owner, including engine rebuild, powder coated frame, and lots of new parts including period Marshall Deeptone Exhaust System, fully rebuilt wheels with new rims and spokes (by C. Wild), Pirelli MT65 tyres, new chain & sprockets and much more. The bike is MOT’d until June 2015 . The paint work is yellow, but is not original, also the headlight is not original but I have seen these available in good condition for £50. Due to this bike being stored unused for such a long time it does have a few very minor things that need looking at. The carbs need the float heights setting and possibly a strip and clean, definitely new fuel as occasionally petrol comes out of the carb overflow. Also, there is a very small oil leak and I can’t detect where it is coming from, though I think tightening the cylinder head bolts using the proper torque would sort this. However, saying all this, the bike runs and rides very nicely. I have seen 400 4’s the same age as this bike for over £4000, so clearly these bikes are getting very collectable now, which makes this an absolute bargain at £1995. Tel: 8
